Empower Network

Wow, there is a lot to cover here, MLM Success, an update on Empower Network, and generating 368,000 leads a month. Anyway I am going to tie all this together so just hang with me for a few.

Now you may not have heard about Empower Network yet but at the viral rate it is growing through the online marketing world its a safe bet to say that you will very soon.

Now I originally did a review on the Empower Network a few months ago after its initial launch in November of 2011 and since then I would have to say the program has really come of age and has worked out almost all of their initial launch glitches.

However as this very high profit online marketing tool makes its way through the online world the bigger question is can you really make that much money with Empower network,  and should you join the ranks of other MLM opportunity seekers who are using this unique business model to jump start their failing bank accounts.

First I wanted to talk to you today about MLM success and what it really takes to get there. Now you know of course from my blog that I am a pretty big fan of the Top Tier MLM business model because I honestly think it’s a more user friendly business model than a Standard MLM especially in today’s transitional MLM market.

Now don’t get me wrong, I have made millions with Standard MLM’s and I am a huge fan of the massive leverage and income potential the average person can achieve using the network marketing business model, and of course there are a lot of great companies out there today that are really smoking.

So I am not here to rain on your parade if you are promoting a Standard MLM,  I just want to throw a few facts and options on the table that you may not be aware of that can accelerate and enhance what you are already doing.

 

Success In A Standard MLM Is A Time Related Function

First of course is that if you are using a standard MLM business model to achieve MLM Success, you already know that even with exciting products, it takes time to build the duplication in your downline necessary to get your organization large enough to get to those magical 10,000 a month checks.

That’s just a fact, and although some people get really lucky in their business building efforts and get there quicker, the bottom line is that luck aside, success in a standard MLM is a time related function because you need about 7000 to 10,000 people in your downline to get those checks going, and unless you are planning on bringing them all in yourself, (wow what a great thought) you have to rely on duplication and that is what takes the time.

Now there are business building strategies I can teach you that will pretty much guarantee that you actually achieve your income goals in 12 months or so but past a certain point there is really no way to push it. Heck as good as I am at high volume lead generation it took me a little over a year to get my income up to $15,000 a month in my first network marketing company (see NuSkin Review). Top Tier MLM Models Have Upfront Cash Flow But Cost MoreNow with the Top Tier MLM business model, the advantage is that you make more every time you sign someone up, so instead of a $100 fast start bonus, you can make anywhere from $1000 to $10,000 or more (see Wealth Masters International and Family IQ)  so recruiting the same number of distributors in fact makes you thousands of times more income on the front end. That’s why it’s referred to as the GPT or get paid today business model.

Now most people I talk to about this business model are pretty excited once they understand its power and they tend to see it as the key element that has been missing from their financial success model, however sometimes the obstacle is that they just can’t afford to buy in at the level they need to really generate the big bucks in a Top Tier MLM.

Now there is another option, and I wanted to make you aware of a business model that I think is the next best thing to promoting a Top Tier MLM, and that is very unique and highly leveraged online marketing model called Empower Network.

Now Empower Network is not an MLM, so if you are currently promoting some other company this is not going to compete with it.  Empower Network is actually more of lead generation and training system based on blogging and it is of course a generic platform that can be used to generate leads for any company.

MLM Leads And Why You Don’t Have Any

Here is a stark statistic for you, 90% of the people who enter the world of Network Marketing will fail because they just don't understand the secret of how to find MLM Leads. Is it really that difficult to find MLM leads? Is there some mystical secret to it that only the select few million dollar earners are privy to, or are we starving in the land of plenty? Let’s face it, in the world of marketing, massive lead flow is the key to huge success. In any type of marketing business, with high lead flow we fly, without it we die. I attended an online marketing event, Live The Dream 2, in Orlando recently and heard one of the all time kings of internet marketing Daegan Smith talk about some of his past success in the world of online lead generation. Now I tend to think I am really good as far as cold market lead generation, heck it’s how I drove my MLM business to over $1.5 million a year in income, however listening to Daegan was a humbling experience. In one of Daegan Smiths online marketing ventures a year or two ago he was driving, at his high point, over 2600 leads a day! 2,600 leads a day? Holy crap! Sorry that was the pure uncensored thought that ran thought my mind as I listened to this master marketer describe his process. His face lit up as he described the mantra of online marketing by saying Traffic will set you free….. Well I guess so! The truth is that marketing teaches us that if we put information in front of enough people we can sell just about anything. However generating adequate MLM lead flow is one of the biggest struggles that the home based business entrepreneur or network marketer faces as they set off in a quest to generate the magic $10,000 a month income stream. MLM leads, where do you find them, how do you get them, and once you have them how do you convert them into happy team members that duplicate like crazy! Ah yes, this is the question of the hour isn’t it, and it is in fact what most people who enter the MLM business find themselves thinking about once they get down to the bottom of their warm market list. MLM is a seductive business to say the least. Most of us start into the MLM industry after being exposed to a presentation that outlines the huge benefits of having an ongoing residual income stream. Then there are the charts and graphs showing how easy it is to achieve that huge residual income stream just by using the power of leverage. The concept actually seems pretty simple, just make a short list of a few people you know, and tell them about this great concept and when they join you in the business, they just do the same thing and boom!   Through the magic of duplication you suddenly you have a rapidity growing down line and your financial future is assured. I mean the math is unquestionable, if you actually look at what happens if you just introduce 2 people to your MLM business, and they get two and so on through several cycles, you end up with several thousand distributors in your downline and even if 95% of them drop out you will still have over a thousand, and a downline that big that is actively ordering product will make you some big bucks. So where are the checks, and why isn’t it working? Well as most business people know, what works in theory sometimes works out quite differently in practice. In the real world of MLM success not every MLM lead you pull off that warm market hit list is going to be interested in what you are doing, fewer still are open to starting a home business, and even fewer if they actually sign up will order product or do anything with the business. So the average person enters the MLM business world not really understanding the true way it works, writes out a warm market MLM lead list, talks to a few friends and family and then promptly drops out since once they go through that list, they are out of MLM leads and have nowhere to go. What Went Wrong? Network marketing is a business and you have to treat it as such. You have to learn that success in any business is a function of selling your product and usually to sell your product you have to learn something about marketing. Can you imagine buying a franchise for $100,000 and then opening your business and then promoting your business only to a small list of friends and family? Not likely is it, with real money on the table you are going to get real serious about learning to advertise. So why is it then that we think network marketing is any different? Why do we believe that we can carve out a business empire and make over a million dollars a year by just taking to a few friends or family?

MLM Leads Success Rule #1 Use “The Law Of Large Numbers”

Marketing teaches us that in a broad sense, that no matter what we are selling, if we expose our product to enough people we will find someone who will buy it. MLM success works the same way, it’s a function of numbers, of high volume MLM lead generation. Now if you try to work the traditional MLM business model just using a list of friends and family, what are the chances that in that small group of 20 or 30 people that anyone will be interested in what you have to offer? Pretty slim! However if you broaden your market and put that same information in front of a hundred people, suddenly the odds get better. If you put the MLM business in front of a thousand, even better, and if you market it to 100,000 you can’t miss finding a lot of interested people. That’s how the “Law Of Large Numbers” works. Now since success in network marketing is a numbers game, to succeed you have to find a couple of MLM marketing strategies that will allow you to consistently generate a stream of MLM leads that flow to you on a daily basis and then develop a good way to show them the attractive points of the business. The formula is simple

( more MLM leads = more prospects = more distributors= more money)

So where do you find the best MLM leads? Well that is kind of a loaded question, since there is of course value in all lead sources, it just depends on how much work, time, and effort you want to put into sifting the leads to find the gold. Now I am going to give you a number of good MLM lead sources in a moment, but first you need to understand a little about the business process you are dealing with to be able to effectively process those leads. MLM Leads Rule #2 Analyze Your Market Think for a moment of your ideal target market. Who in fact would be interested in an MLM business where you could work out of your home, set your own hours, and have an earning potential of over $100,000 a month? Stupid Question right? Now if your brain went into overload with that question you are not alone, you see that the great part of the MLM business, it’s something that anyone can do, and probably over 50% of the population would be interested in if you can effectively get a presentation in front of them. MLM Leads Rule #3 – Don’t Sell, Promote! Now if the market is really that big then that means that finding MLM leads is pretty simple, because over 50% of the people you run into every day are prospects. Now here is where a lot of people get really frustrated because they think that their job is to sell everybody, so they go out and start hammering away trying to close prospects right and left, and if someone does not see the opportunity it’s just because they did not explain it correctly. So if anyone expresses even the slightest bit of interest, they start hounding them and then even enlist their upline to do endless 3 way calls with their prospects because they know that if they just get their prospect to open their mind for a few moments then they would see the glory of the huge opportunity and get into the deal right? Wrong………………. Look, using an “identify and sell” process is necessary if you are working in a traditional sales market where you have a large population, and a very small target market for your product. In that market every prospect is gold and you have to use sales skills to raise their level of interest and then close them. In the world of MLM leads, there are in fact so many potential prospects you will fail using that approach, not to mention you will be permanently in the NFL club (No Friends Left). Think of it this way, if in an average city like Miami where you have a population of let’s say 3 million people and over 50% are potential prospects, how long is it going to take you to give a presentation to 1 ½ million people? Well if you could give presentations 7 days a week, for 8 hours a day it would take you 187,500 days or about 513 years. Humm…. that probably won’t work So when your market is large you need to adopt a sifting and sorting approach and quickly move through your prospects using some type of automated process to sift them down to just the ones who raise their hands and say. I’m in! And everyone else can go home…. MLM Leads Rule #4 – Use Leverage & Automation Now as you can see from the previous example, doing the face to face, one on one presentations is a no-win proposition. You are limited by your process, there are simply not enough hours in the day for you to give enough presentations to sift the number of MLM lead prospects you need to find the dead serious ones. You must use MLM marketing tools to be able to give automated video presentations to your prospects (My Lead System Pro), and auto-responders (Aweber) to be able to maintain contact with your prospects and convert them over time. Technology tools like this will give you the leverage and automation you need to manage the large flow of prospects you need to have large scale success. Now once you start doing your MLM lead generation using automation and leverage tools to speed your process of sifting and sorting, remember that you mission is not to try to close everyone, it’s simply to find those where the timing in their life is right and are already highly interested in what you have to offer. Remember the key to high volume MLM lead generation is to not waste your time trying to convince those who don’t see it, you only want those who do. If someone does not see the value in your opportunity your favorite word should always be Next!... MLM Leads Rule #5 – Target Your Market Now that you see the process you need to generate large scale success in Network Marketing, let’s take a look at making the process more efficient. So there are two approaches that you can use to generate MLM lead flow, an Undifferentiated Approach in which we just figure that if 50% the market could be interested, then why not just target everyone? Now that approach will work, but you will have to go through a lot more numbers to sift down to find the quality MLM leads you really want. The other approach is called Target Marketing and with this approach you narrow the market to just those groups who you feel will have the highest percentage of MLM leads who will be interested. This in fact is what marketing is all about, not just mindlessly blasting information on your business out to everyone that moves, but finding and targeting just those who are actually looking for just what you have to offer. Examples of this would be targeting leads from Online Job Boards such as Careerbuilder or Monster since we know that everyone who has a resume sitting there is transitional and is looking. Another example would be to target the general MLM leads who are already in Network Marketing since we know how transitional that market is, and that the average time a new distributor stays with a new company before moving on to the next greatest opportunity is probably 3 to 5 months. The advantage of targeting this MLM lead market is that we already know they like the Network Marketing business and they are or were looking to generate income from home. MLM Leads Rule #6 “Fill The Pipeline” Good sales people know this success rule. Regardless of the level of leads you are generating and regardless of any automation you may be using, you must consistently push MLM leads into your sales funnel to generate sales and new distributors. Many people fail even with good MLM leads because they are not consistent in their lead generation. If you consistently generate leads on a daily basis, over time you will have an additive pipeline effect in which your MLM lead generation efforts will start throwing off more and more distributors. I have found that if I only have 5 quality conversations per day that is 25 a week or 100 a month I will consistently sponsor 8 to 12 new reps a month. If the sales funnel is more automated and you are basing your results on gross MLM leads that enter your system, then a good rule of thumb is that you should be able to convert about 3% of them to distributors in your MLM company. MLM Lead Sources Now there are many ways to generate huge MLM lead flow today, and if you have a little coaching you will be surprised how quickly you can stop the pain of MLM lead poverty and literally become a Network Marketing success story.

Crossover MLM Lead Generation Approaches

Now without question almost all of the Old School MLM Lead generation approaches have been updated based on the advent of the Internet and given some new twists that make even the Old School MLM Lead approaches more effective. I tend to refer to these as Crossover approaches since they use the old strategies but revitalized by also using the Internet in some form.

• Job Board Advertising For MLM Leads

Tired of talking to prospects who are not really looking? Part of the struggle many people have is spending way too much time chasing people who are not really interested. Your best odds will always be targeting people who are in a period of transition, and what better place to find them than on Job Boards where they have put their resume out, announcing to the world “I’m Looking”.

There are some killer ways to use big job boards to generate huge MLM lead flow. It’s pretty simple once you have some good coaching. Post the right type of opportunity ad and then direct lead flow to a sales funnel where they Opt-in to your autoresponder list and view an automated video presentation of your business and then use a form from Survey Monkey or Survey Gizmo to let interested prospects apply.

• Careerbuilder – With 30 million resumes or more there is a lot of traffic on this site. Ads generally run about $400 for a month.

• Craigs List – Huge Traffic and the best part is that if you post in the smaller cities it’s free. There are some tricks to doing this effectively but with a little coaching you can generate up to 100+ MLM leads a day.

• Resume Database Mining for MLM Leads

So when we do this type of mining we are looking for the gold but not the mineral type. The flip side of Job boards is that everyone who is looking not only checks out the ads but also posts their resume. So the strategy is to get access to a Resume Database and then start mining for gold by doing a quick search of the database for the prospects who have just the qualities you are looking for.

This is exactly what Executive Search or as they call them headhunters do and it works. Of course you are going to need a little coaching and some good scripts and then you are off to the races. Oh yes one great thing here is that these people will love that you called them, the hard part is not staying on the phone too long. Use a good script that has at least 2 sifts in it to get rid of the job seekers. There is also of course an automated way to do this.

• Buying MLM Leads (Opportunity Seeker Leads)

This is a no brainer approach but watch out what you pay. Keep in mind the quality of these leads varies dramatically. Many MLM lead vendors will actually incentivize or pay prospects to take a survey which in my book is not even a valid lead. You need to get some recommendations from someone who uses this approach and then test your MLM leads in small batches of 100 or so to verify quality.

• Real Time or Surveyed MLM leads: Costs on these can run from $1 to $9 a MLM lead or more depending on the source. I don’t recommend paying this kind of cost unless you are good on the phone or have some training in doing this and are selling a MLM opportunity that has a pretty big front end commission such as a Top Tier MLM (Family IQ, or Wealthmasters International) where the up front profits you make are high enough to offset your costs. If you are good on the phone and fill your pipeline consistently you should be able to close about 5%.

• Bulk Aged MLM Leads : These are generally the same leads you would pay several dollars for but after the leads have aged a few months or more they get pretty cheap. They best way to use these cheap MLM leads is to automated tools to do the sifting for you such as Voice Broadcasting or Bulk E mail Marketing.

• Voice Broadcasting for MLM Leads

This is an approach that I have used extensively prior to moving most of my lead generation online. It’s a killer highly leveraged approach that allows you to sift through several thousand potential prospects in about 30 min and leave you with several to as many as 30+ prospects who have all been pre-sifted, are qualified, and are waiting to speak to you.

How can MLM life be better than that? This approach uses a web based autodialer to send your opportunity message of 30 sec or so to a list of MLM leads you have purchased and then uses recorded messages about your opportunity to screen your prospects.

This approach does require some coaching to do right. There are some “do not call regulations” you need to understand so you can do it legally and also you need some really good scripts for the messages. A lot of people don’t do well with this simple because of terrible scripts.

• E Mail Marketing for MLM Leads

I bet you thought this was no longer legal with all the spam laws in effect but e mail marketing is alive and well and if you know how to do it, you can make a killing and flood yourself with MLM leads.

• Solo Ads: This is where you rent someone’s MLM leads e mail list and they send your offer to their list by way of e mail. Prices can range from $60 to as much as $600 depending on the quality. I have some private sources will send 1 Million e mails out for as cheap as $99. With a good list your click through ratio (people who actually go to your website or offer) will be 1000 to 2500 for every blast of one million sent. Now that’s a lot of eyeballs on your website! Now ad design and list quality are key factors here. Get some coaching and you will do well.

• Bulk E Mail Marketing for MLM Leads: This is where you actually buy the MLM lead list rather than rent it and then send your offer to that list. You must make sure the leads have requested information and that you have the IP address where they opted in on your data list. Also don’t try to use your webmail account or e mail program to do this, your account will be flagged by your provider. Instead you use a server based software such as JMailer to send your messages from a totally different website. I coach reps on how to successfully generate MLM leads this way also.

Online MLM Lead Generation

These are great MLM leads since you generate them yourself. There are too many approaches to list here but the advantage of leveraging your business through the internet is that there are over 1.8 billion people online today and as a result there are hundreds of millions of prospects online right now probably looking for exactly what you are promoting. Online marketing teaches you how to find that MLM Lead traffic and then how to use technology to put your message in front of them. Now these approaches do tend to take a little more study and coaching to learn but the time spent is well worth it since the skills you learn here can be applied to any business, not just MLM lead generation. Learning the tricks of Online MLM Lead generation raises the success bar quite a bit. MLM Success in this universe is measured by being able to generate 50 to 100+ leads per day. Now what do you think you could do with that many leads? Remember the MLM success equation

MLM Tips - MLM Objections - Overcomming The No Money Problem

So today I had the opportunity to once again listen to a few prospects give me a bunch of lame reasons (MLM Objections) as to why the business was not right for them. Now if you are in the MLM business, you hear them every day, and for the MLM Pro who has been around for a few years, MLM objections are just part of the territory. That's what started me pondering what the biggest problem in the MLM universe was. Maybe problem is not the right word here, let’s rephrase that to, “what is the biggest obstacle that most people encounter in their journey to MLM success?” Wow! That thought kind of opened up a Pandora’s Box of stuff that jumped out of my mind. Now since I have been in the MLM industry for over 25 years I have seen a lot of the obstacles that people struggle with, so where do we even start? Lack of focus, lack of commitment, unrealistic expectations, wrong business model, lack of lead flow, no MLM marketing system, no business experience, no MLM business plan, and the list goes on. So this article was at that point getting ready to mutate into a 100 page book so I narrowed the focus down to……. What is the single biggest objection people have to joining you in your MLM business, and how do you overcome it? Humm…… Well in the world of MLM objections, it has to be the dread “Money Objection”. It is I believe the most frequently heard utterance in MLM objection universe. It goes something like this, “…Wow Marc, I can really see the potential of this and I would love to join you but I just don’t have the money right now”. Now when you are new in the MLM business, hearing this is kind of like a knife in your heart. I mean after listening to lots of “NO’s” you finally find someone who actually has half a brain and can see the incredible potential of your deal, but they don’t have the dam money! Arrgh…… the universe is so unfair! So how do you deal with that MLM objection, or is it really just an excuse? You know the different right?

MLM Objections

Sales 101 teaches us that an objection is a supposed statement of fact concerning the presentation you just delivered, based on erroneous conclusions or incomplete information. For example, "I don't want to be a representative of xyz MLM because network marketing is illegal." An objection is a question phrased as a statement. Recognize this, and answer it as such. A standard response would be, …”well Bob, I understand how you could feel that way, however "if I can show you that network marketing is not illegal, would you be interested in becoming a representative?" If the questions can be answered to the prospect's satisfaction, they should then become a representative. MLM Excuses MLM Objections and excuses are not the same, learn to recognize the difference. This is a big stumbling block for many people entering network marketing without sales skills. Good sales people develop an intuitive "feel" for the difference. People without experience can waste a lot of time chasing uninterested prospects. From the standpoint of MLM business building most MLM objections are probably excuses. Now believe it or not we live in a polite culture, and as a result people actually have a hard time saying the “NO” word, and as a result they just make up excuses or use the big kiss-off phrases like: “Send me some information or I will think about it”. But what about those people who your gut seems to tell you are actually interested but you just can’t seem to get them to commit? It’s kind of like herding cats, it can be a frustrating task.

MLM Objections & The Internal Priority List

Look, think about this for a moment, you could probably sit down right now and write out a list of 50 things you are interested in but you only have time, money, and attention for probably the top 2 or 3 things on that list. So for the purposes of MLM prospecting and recruiting, whenever you hear phrases like:

• “I am considering several options”
• “I have not ruled it out yet”
• “I am still considering it”
• “I have not come to a decision yet”
• “I just don’t have the money”

They all mean the same thing, ………“NO” Now there may be an interest level there, but it’s so low on their list that washing the car probably takes priority over it, so don’t waste your time. Just say “Next” and move on. The Ah-Ha Moment! Did the little light just go on in your head? Recognizing this one simple fact will save you hours and probably years of frustration in building your MLM business. MLM Lies So now your faith in human nature is probably restored, maybe all those prospects were not actually telling you lies. Your deal probably did register as something that was interesting, so they were telling the truth, it just wasn’t high enough on their internal priority list for them to take action on it. MLM Money Objection Confusion Now on the surface the MLM Money Objection seems to be different than “kiss-off” excuses so it tends to confuse the success hungry network marketer. I mean let’s face it, these people are saying “Yes”, so we want to believe them. So what is the real obstacle here? Is it really about the money? No not at all, its lack of motivation or desire. The Wrong Path Many people in network marketing hear the “No Money” MLM objection so much that they start actually believing that the money is the real issue and that if they had a product or MLM with a lower cost “buy in”, it would solve all their problems and they would be millionaires in a week. You will find these people tend to gravitate to consistently lower cost deals where the sign up fees are maybe $50 or even to the real low cost trash deals that cost $5 or so chasing the illusion of “the perfect buy in”. Now here’s a real killer, usually when they start promoting the low cost deals they find they still get the same excuses. ………….“What do you mean you don’t have $5? You see, if someone really sees the opportunity and its high enough on their priority list the cost is never really a factor. Your “buy in” could be $10,000 or $20,000 like many of the Top Tier MLM deals and if your prospect saw the opportunity and was excited they would sign up. The $5000 Corvette Story – The Power Of Intrinsic Value Now if you don’t believe this here is a quick test you can do on those “No Money” prospects. Ask your prospect if you could show them a way to quickly earn the money to join your business if they would sign up. Then tell them that you have a friend who got in trouble with the IRS and that he had just bought a brand new Corvette for cash the day before. Tell them that he is desperate for money and that if they could come up with $5000 cash by tomorrow he will sign over the $90,000 Corvette to them and they would make a killing. Now you can probably see where I am going with this right? Do you think the person who just told you they did not have the money to sign up for $500 is going to be able to come up with $5000? You better believe they are, they are going to move heaven and earth to get that $5000. Even if they don’t have it, they were going to pull out all the stops to make it happen. You see, if your prospect sees a high enough value in your opportunity nothing can keep them out, and the cost is irrelevant. Now the best way to implement this strategy is not to start studying up on sales courses so you can learn how to overcome MLM objections, but rather to study ways to implement a high volume lead generation system and bury yourself with leads. You see, with a high volume of leads you not only gain posture but you also become much more aggressive with your qualification and you no longer listen to excuses. Now finding that path took quite a while, and I often think of how much pain, suffering, and bad business models I could have avoided if I could have just taken a peek into the future just for a moment. My Journey to the World of MLM

Hello, my name is Marc Barrett and thanks for taking the time to visit my Blog. I have had the good fortune to be involved in the network marketing industry for over 22 years and during that time I must have spoken to thousands of people about their goals and dreams, and you know what, we are really all looking for the same thing. Freedom……. Now I truly believe that network marketing is the very best vehicle to achieve that financial and time freedom…. if done correctly. If your goal is to achieve that then you need to become a student of what it takes to succeed and what works. Lets start with my failures, when I first entered the Network Marketing field even though I had been a successful business person before, I had no clue of how to make it work and I failed miserably for several months. I probably quit 5 times in the first 6 months. but you know, I just couldn’t let it go, I was hooked on the idea of being able to generate a huge residual income stream. Then finally I got some good coaching and tips from very successful distributors who had built six figure monthly income streams. From that point I went on to build a very large organization almost entirely from cold marketing approaches, not by talking to friends and family. I became a 7 figure yearly income earner and over the years earned millions in this industry. My success was because I learned the lesson of working the numbers and using a marketing system could generate a high volume of lead traffic that could easily be duplicated by my organization. Now if you currently in MLM and have not achieved the success you dream about you are probably even now searching for an answer, trying to find a way to make your business work. Looking for the secret. I hate to disappoint you, there is no secret, but there is a mispreception. The mispreception is that you didn’t pay attention when you got into the business. Think now, you decided to get into the network marketing business not the network selling business. Most people jump into this industry and quickly adopt the same strategy’s their sponsor or upline is using to build a team. I mean it makes sense, your upline recruited you so what they are doing must work. The die is now cast, you go out and do the same thing. Network marketing is a business of total duplication, however duplication does have a dark side. We can and do duplicate business building approaches that really do not work very well. Now I am not here to tell you to abondon the teachings of your upline, or to stop doing what you are currently doing to build the business. The truth is all approaches work if you work them. The problem is that some work better than others and most people do not have enough time, money, or resources to throw at the problem to generate a high enough volume of leads to really get to the gold. The success of Low volume approaches like working your warm market are based on the assumption that you have a 1% percenter lurking there, someone who will come in and explode your organization, and there very well could be, but the chances are there’s not. And the time it takes to use low volume approaches to build a business, it pretty much guarantees it will probably take you years if ever go reach your goals. Time to change gears. Using high volume approaches allows you to generate such a high volume of numbers that you can’t miss. The high volume success formula really has 4 basic elements. #1 A way to generate a high volume of traffic, a supply of leads that keeps flowing to you on a consistent daily basis. #2 A sifting tool that allows you to automatically separate the prospects from the suspects, #3 A presentation format and #4 A follow up strategy. Years ago my traffic formula was based on running ads in the classified section of major newspapers which gave me 80 to 100 leads a week, funneling the leads into a 2 min recorded voice mail summary to screen them, and then bringing the remaining prospects in groups of 6 to 10 into my home 3 times a day and showing them a video. The follow up strategy was that I didn’t, the serious were attracted to me because they saw I had a system that worked and they needed what I had more than I needed them. Did it work? Well it allowed me to sponsor over 250 serious distributors in 2 years and generate an income stream of over $1.5 million a year by my 2^nd year. Today the Traffic formula is different, the traffic is online and the volume of that traffic is huge and its not hard to get to if you have the tools and the system. The good part is you are not going to have to put 30 people a day into your living room, and that once set up you system can pretty much run on autopilot 24 hours a day and its international. Family IQ Review – Is It A Bird, Is it A Plane? No, It’s Top Tier MLM!

So I guess it’s no big secret that I like the Top Tier MLM business model and Family IQ a new Top Tier MLM is one you will be hearing a lot about very soon. Now after being in the industry for over 23 years, I am a huge believer in Network Marketing and have had the opportunity to work with many Network Marketing companies, and also serve on the advisory boards several. During that time I have worked with numerous variations of the “Standard MLM” business models and I have also watched and studied as each new compensation plan variation swept through the industry. At times you could almost feel that the industry was, even after 40 or more years still seeking a higher plateau of development, that magic mix of compensation plan components that would ultimately reward a distributors up front business building efforts as well as provide a highly profitable long term residual. Let’s see, Unilevel, Compression Programs, Rollups, Binary, Hybrid Binary, Coded Bonus, Matrix and so many variations of those it makes my head spin just trying to keep track of them. “So which is the best” is probably the question I am most frequently asked by MLM hopefuls looking to achieve success in Network Marketing, and form a new Plan A in today turbulent financial market. Well  in the final analysis of course they are all profitable, all companies no matter what comp plan they use have top earners who’s checks would make you green with envy. The only issue is of course “when do you want to be paid?” That of course is the big dividing line drawn right down the center of the industry. On one side are all the “Standard MLM” compensation plans, no matter what variation of pay plan they may use, and on the other are the “Top Tier MLM” companies. If you have read any of my blog posts explaining the differences such as “Top Tier MLM or Traditional Which is Better?” you know that the basic key difference is the price point of the distributor kit a new rep buys when they enroll and how much the company pays out on the initial product package. Top Tier MLM companies usually have a much higher level of compensation on the front end allowing a new rep to earn a full time income from day 1 and Standard MLM comp plans usually put most of the profit on the backend residual which can take several months or years to fully develop. Now I thought I had it down pretty well and so I guess I should have expected it, an entirely new variation hits the market. Darn! Just when I thought I had it all figured out.

Enter Family IQ

Family IQ is a new “Top Tier MLM” with a fairly low end startup package and an aggressive residual MLM compensation plan on the backend.

What…? I first ran into Family IQ when an online marketer I know generated about $33,000 in commissions in a month marketing this company last December. It kind of puzzled me so I did an extensive review of the company to see what kind of magic they had working for them and here is what I found. Family IQ is the brain child of Mark Hobbins who founded the company in 2001. Now Family IQ is fairly new to the MLM world since they just launched their MLM business model in about October of 2010 but the company has been around for about 10 years prior to that with an online business model offering according to the company website …”state-of-the-art family skill building tools to treatment programs and therapists who wanted to improve family relationships”. You know, Dr Phil kind of stuff……… Then last year, Family IQ decided to go with a direct to consumer business model and chose a Top Tier MLM compensation plan. The Family IQ products are all online training and educational systems designed to help improve interpersonal relationships between family members, husband and wife, parents and children, and so on. So when a distributor signs up they get access to all the online training modules and since Family IQ  has been compiling this training media for over 10 years there is quite a bit of it. Now most Top Tier MLM’s tend to use some type of educational product and most tend to be financial (such as WealthMasters International) or self improvement related, and there are even some new Hybrid Top Tier business models out there like Empower Network (online marketing training),  but the Family IQ line is pretty much the first of its kind. I have to say that when I first looked at the Family IQ product line I was not sure about its success as a Network Marketing product but after doing some marketing research, I have been pretty amazed at how strong the appeal this product is. Several people I interviewed who were marketing Family IQ were doing extremely well and averaging 10 + signups a month. The Master distributor of Family IQ is Rod Stinson, who has been highly successful in the world of Top Tier MLM over the years. Now the strange part is that I actually know Rod, he was part of a highly successful MLM group I built over 20 years ago. Rod moved over into the Top Tier MLM business model years ago and has been quietly making a fortune by using some very innovative marketing sales funnels based on direct response marketing models.

The Family IQ compensation plan

The Family IQ sign up package is $1495.00 which is comparable to what a distributor would pay to join a “Standard MLM” if they purchased the top end product line when they enrolled, but in the world of  “Top Tier MLM”  where product packages usually range from $2000 on the low end to as much as $20,000 on the high end, the Family IQ package seems to come in on the low side. This is where the top tier part of the compensation plan kicks in because when you enroll a new member into Family IQ you receive a whopping 70% commission, earning a clean $1000 per new rep you enroll into the business. The initial commissions on the sign up packages are actually paid out daily since according to the sign up procedure the new person entering the business first enrolls on the Family IQ site and pays the company $495 to register, however they are not active status until they complete the payment for the balance of the enrollment fee of $1000 directly to their sponsor. That’s right, they pay you $1000 directly…..Nice touch! Most of the reps actively working the business generally have the new enrollee send them a cashier’s check by overnight mail and then the sponsor goes into their back office and activates the distributorship for the new person. So if someone really wants to earn money quickly, this system works really well since there is no limit on how many $1000 commission checks they can receive, and they can of course receive them daily. Now the Family IQ plan also has a 9 level “Unilevel” type residual pay plan that allows reps to tap into the ongoing growth of their organizations  by receiving a $50 bonus for each new signup on levels 1 to 3 and then $24 payout on levels 4 to 9. This is very similar to some highly successful coded bonus pay plans in use today. To be qualified to receive the residuals, the rep of course must be active status by signing up for the Family IQ monthly membership fee of $79.00. The payout on the Family IQ membership fee is 6% on levels 1 to 4 and then 4% levels 5 to 9. Now part of the appeal of this deal is the powerful Family IQ presentation done by the master distributor Rod Stinson in which he outlines the advantages of the Top Tier MLM model and then shows numerous examples of his receiving multiple Fedex envelopes every day, generally averaging about $70,000 per month and even averaging about $103,000 in one recent month! Beam me up Scottie! I have stumbled into a parallel universe! Actually the 2^nd or 3^rd time Rod showed his dining room table covered in cashiers checks I think I actually sat up in my office chair and said: “Ok already, I get it, there is money in the deal, I believe you, now what’s next?” New reps when they enroll also receive one of these recorded business presentations and a replicated website to start spreading the word. So what does the future hold for this Hybrid – Top Tier MLM? Well from all indications Family IQ could be a unique example of one of the first Top Tier MLM’s to actually go viral. One of the key elements that has always helped fuel a new company’s growth is when people actually make money, and if you have a lot of people making a lot, its kind of like throwing gasoline on a fire,  and there appear to be a lot of people in Family IQ making a lot of money. So dynamic growth aside, what actually is the appeal of this Hybrid – Top Tier deal? Well with Family IQ, I think it’s a combination of factors 1.      The price point of the Product: Even though $1495 is pretty low for a true Top Tier MLM, this price point makes it reachable by just about anyone who sees the opportunity and it pays a pretty whopping big commission for such a small price tag. 2.      The Powerful Webinar-On-Demand presentation that Rod Stinson does where he shows enough proof of income by way of Fedex envelopes and Cashiers checks that he could paper his house with them is obviously a big factor. There are several instances of this throughout the presentation and after about the 4^th or 5^th time you actually start to think….. Good Grief, I want some of those!  All new reps get one of these “On Demand” presentations on their replicated website and the system even includes a special software package that generates free MLM leads off of the internet.  Now I was skeptical about this until I found out it was a type of scraper software and I have used these before and they do work. All in all its a very good sales funnel and lead system. 3.      Company Credibility and Noble Product: Now this is where a lot of Top Tier deals fall down, I mean let’s face it we are all in MLM for the money anyway but sometimes the company just does not measure up. This is Family IQ’s strong point, they literally smack of credibility. So should you drop everything you are doing and jump on the Family IQ bandwagon? Well that depends on your financial goals and how quickly you want to achieve them. Now as I outlined in a recent blog post “Is Network Marketing Dead?”, the big appeal of the Top Tier business model is the GPT (Get Paid Today) principal, so it does give you the ability to get to the big money quicker, in 30 to 60 days as opposed to 12 months or more in a Standard MLM. Now normally in a Top Tier the back end residual is less than you would make in a Standard MLM but with Family IQ they appear to have an attractive Hybrid business model that actually pays both. I expect we will be hearing lots about this fast moving new company in the future.   Tired of spinning your wheels in a standard MLM business model where you need several thousand in your downline to even get close to $10,000 a month? MLM Success - The MLM 7 Figure Business Plan? What’s That?

It’s usually not spoken about because it is so negative but we all know the ugly word is there. It’s called “Attrition”. So what exactly is it that leads distributors to embrace an MLM opportunity with the passion of a true believer and then a few months later, they are gone, disappeared into the “Black Hole” of network marketing. So why the frustration? Sometimes it’s the follow up calls and the endless chasing of prospects who at times seem to be brain dead. I mean we have a great MLM opportunity to show them, what is their problem, why can’t they just open their eyes and see it? I mean really….. Sometimes it just makes you wonder, if we are we the only intelligent person left on the entire planet? You know you have been there, that’s the discussion going on inside your head as you relentlessly pick up the phone day after day and hammer it trying to achieve MLM success, or maybe you just part of that other group that just sits there and stares at the phone trying to muster the courage to do it one more time. Well we know the cure, a quick call to our upline leader and after they tell us about how many zeros are on their latest check we are back at it again. That is until the 2^nd most insidious obstacle in the world of MLM success attacks and this beast takes no prisoners. Doubt….. So what’s wrong with us? Is it some kind of genetic defect?

Look building any business is hard and especially one with the type of upside income potential that Network Marketing has, but what really helps is to understand what you are doing before you start. The path to MLM Success

  Most people start into their journey of MLM success with absolutely no business plan other than making a list of their friends and family and maybe chasing people down in grocery stores. They have no idea of how to develop a “7 Figure Business Plan” for MLM success and the sad thing is their upline doesn’t either. So how do you develop a “MLM 7 Figure Business Plan”? First you need to understand what it really takes to achieve MLM success, and also the illusion and traps that most people fall into. The illusion is what we see when we go to company events and they parade the latest MLM success story up on the stage who proceeds to tell you how magically easy the business is, and their success is usually based on just talking to a few friends who talked to a few and then…. Presto, the big checks just start appearing! The truth is that their success in finding a bunch of dead serious business builders from just a few prospects was pure luck. The sad part of this is that there are so many people out trying to build a successful Network Marketing business based on luck. Now if you want to base a business on fact, then marketing teaches us that the more people we talk to the luckier we get. So if you want to ensure your MLM success, you have to treat MLM like a real business and develop a marketing system that allows you to develop a large enough number of leads that you just can’t miss. Now all approaches to MLM lead generation work to some extent, so that tends to be the confusing part,  but the success of low volume approaches like working your warm market are based on the assumption that you have a 1% Percenter lurking there somewhere. That’s someone who will come in and explode your organization, and there very well could be, but the chances are there’s not, and the time it takes to use low volume approaches to build an MLM business, it pretty much guarantees it will probably take you years if ever go reach your goals and achieve the MLM success you are after. So if you are looking for massive MLM success, you need massive activity, and you generate that by using high volume marketing approaches. Using high volume approaches allows you to generate such a high volume of numbers that you can’t miss finding the dead serious people.

The high volume MLM success formula really has 4 basic elements

1. A way to generate a high volume of traffic, a supply of leads that keeps flowing to you on a consistent daily basis. 2. A sifting tool that allows you to automatically separate the prospects from the suspects 3. A presentation format and 4. A follow up strategy Today the real key to the Traffic formula is going online. It was recently reported there are over 1.7 billion people online as of Sept of 2009. Imagine for a moment just begin able to reach out and tap just a small fraction of that traffic and direct it to your MLM business. Petty exciting isn’t it! Now that you know the illusions of the MLM business and a basic idea of where you want to go, I need to tell you that there are two potential challenges to achieving that MLM success you desire. Number 1 is that you need to close that knowledge gap of understanding and learn how to generate  internet lead traffic, and you are also going to need a MLM marketing system, websites, and e mail auto-responders to effectively process it. Now forget trying to do this on your own, it’s too complicated and will take too much time. The solution to problem 1 is to simply use an “out of the box” MLM online marketing system such as My Lead System Pro, it’s kind of like a combination of an internet marketing university and an online marketing system.

I coach my students to have as their initial target 10 MLM leads a day. That will give you about 300 leads a month and once you gain some experience you should be able to recruit 3% to 5% of that traffic into your MLM business, which will give you on average about 10 distributors a month. Now what do you think 10 distributors a month in your Network Marketing business would do for your bank account? Now if you are working a “Standard MLM”  as opposed to a “Top Tier MLM”, then your “7 Figure Business Plan” for success is to sponsor 10 reps a month, of which on average 5 are going to go to sleep on you or drop out within a few months,  5 will do the business at some level and 2 of those will be your 20% Percenters. Focus your support on your 20% Percenters to get them up and running, and then do it again next month, get the 10, find the 5, indentify the 2, and then do it again and again. Rinse and Repeat, Rinse and Repeat. Over the course of a year you should be able to generate about 24 or so 20% Percenters who will actually be doing the business and duplicating you efforts and you will start to see your income steadily increase. Now you actually have a business and can probably look to the kind of income you were hoping for in 12 to 18 months or so. What you say?  I was told I could get full time income in 6 months? Sorry, that s the business plan based on luck. This is the real world of achieving success in a Standard MLM. Keep in mind that in a Standard MLM your success is dependent on building a very large organization, and it’s going to take a team of several thousand distributors in your MLM downline to generate a monthly income of several thousand dollars a month. So even when you learn the Online MLM Marketing skills to become a high volume recruiter, it still takes time to get the duplication going. But look, any business worth building is worth taking the time to build. Compared to what it takes to achieve high level success in traditional business, MLM success can be pretty quick. Now there are business models that can be used to generate the income more quickly, such as Top Tier MLM where you can achieve full time income in 3 to 6 months using a GPT Model,  as opposed to 12 to 18 in a Standard MLM, so if getting to a certain income level in a certain period of time is a critical factor for you then start examining some alternative business models. For now, start with the basics you are going to need to start your “7 figure business plan” by learning how to market, and step on to the path of true MLM success.

Jusuru International Review – Can the MLM Market Take Another Superjuice!

Jusuru International, well the name sounds good but what is it about this new MLM company that is going to make it stand out from everyone else in the crowded MLM Superjuice marketplace today? Jusuru International is headquartered in Anaheim, CA, entered the MLM marketplace in 2009 and then apparently did their hard launch in 2010.

Jusuru is yet another in a long line of MLM companies counting on MLM success in the superjuice market today.

Now of course we know that the Nutritional industry is projected to grow into a trillion dollar industry in the very near future, and so there are a lot of companies targeting that market with a whole host of new product offerings. Then within the nutritional market there is yet another powerful MLM product niche called Superjuices that have done extremely well in the MLM market in the last several years, and that is the market that Jusuru has decided to target.

FantaZ Review – Does This New MLM Success Story Have Viral Growth Potential?

FantaZ is one of a new crop of network marketing companies trying hard to figure out a way to tap into the rapid growth of the online gaming market. Now FantaZ which recently entered the world of MLM has a totally virtual product, online gaming, and hopes to be able to capitalize on what is by their accounts a $4 billion online gaming industry.

FantaZ’s Target Market

  Now this is a strong niche market, and I think that is what the founders of FantaZ are counting on. If this new MLM company can reach enough of the online gamer market and convince them that this is the way to go it could explode through the industry and grow virally and of course the people who push it could make a lot of money. However it seems that as popular as online gaming is, the lion’s share of this market belongs to the big game developers who have branded themselves over the years and developed a fanatical following. The success stories such as the of  World of Warcraft who by some accounts had 12 million subscribers as of October 2010 are legendary.  They are currently the world’s most-subscribed online gaming site and hold about 62% of the MMORPG (Massively multiplayer online role-playing game) subscription market. Now of course not begin a gamer myself I am observing this world and business model from the outside so a gamers view may be different, but it seems that the big franchises in this market all developed highly designed computer games with massive content and then branched that into the online world so they already had a natural market following for this. Now the company does seem to have a pretty wide variety of games such as golf, pool, fantasy sports, and many others, but it would seem that to enter this market as a new company with no followers, that the best approach would be to develop a killer game app but I am not seeing that.

This MLM is counting on the general popularity of online gaming combined with an MLM business profit structure to drive a marketing explosion, but then developed a rather tame 7 level unilevel compensation so there is really not a lot of money here unless you develop a really big group. Now if online gaming is your passion and you like the business model then by all means go for it.

FantaZ could be that unique opportunity for you to combine something you love with getting paid to do it.

However remember that every MLM compensation plan requires a different business plan to really drive it and capitalize on the growth. With the potentially low dollar payout on volume based on the monthly membership fees ($25 to $50) and not a lot of meat in the sigh up package ($99), you are going to have to build a very large group in this MLM company to make decent money and your market niche is going to be fairly limited. Now FantaZ is not a MLM business I would sign up in, I tend to favor more of the Top Tier MLM business model,  but if I was going to build FantaZ  my approach would be to use an online marketing model to generate a high volume of prospects and target the online gaming market specifically. There are some great out of the box systems that can be used to teach you how to market online like My Lead System Pro  and they can also really automate the lead process for you. I would also use some viral tools such as a downloadable PDF with game tips or some other game giveaway with embedded links back to my capture page so that your prospects would take your “free gift” and share it virally through their network.
